Besigheim
Surrounded by vineyards as far as the eye can see, the medieval old town of Besigheim with its narrow alleyways and corners perches on a mountain ridge which used to be enclosed on three sides by the rivers Neckar and Enz.
Narrow lanes and spruce, half-timbered buildings grace the historical town centre, whose old-world flair delights visitors from near and far. From the bridge over the Enz there's a particularly impressive view of the town silhouette – a harmonious succession of gables, walls and roofs, from whose midst the Late Gothic town hall and the Upper and Lower Towers protrude.
