Café Königsbau

One of the city's oldest traditional cafés is located in the colonnades of the Königsbau. The "Café Königsbau" was once frequented by writers. It was customary for journalists to meet here for a nightcap. Even if the grandma flair has changed in favor of a more purist café: On the second floor, you can still enjoy the premium view of Schlossplatz with Frankfurter Kranz, Baumkuchen and all kinds of coffee variations - including street musicians, mime artists and streams of people. The first floor is chic and modern, with dishes such as tagliatelle with chanterelles or deep-fried mushrooms on a bed of salad.
