Chinagarten Stuttgart

The Far East in the middle of Stuttgart - that's what a visit to the Chinese Garden of the Stuttgart Beautification Association feels like. When you step through the entrance gate, you are transported to another world or continent.

The "Garden of Beautiful Melody" reflects the world in miniature - according to the Chinese idea that the essence of the world with its many contrasts can be experienced in the park. The raised roof ends of the buildings represent typical southern Chinese architecture. In the middle is the Pavilion of the Four Directions.

From a hill in the garden, you can admire the beautiful view of Stuttgart's basin and hills.

However, the Chinese garden was not always located in this panoramic spot. It was built in 1993 for the International Horticultural Exhibition as one of the National Gardens in Rosensteinpark. After the IGA, it was moved here to the corner of Birkenwaldstrasse and Panoramastrasse with the help of skilled Chinese workers.
