Degerloch
Up until the 19th century Degerloch was a tranquil rural suburb, but with the construction of a better link road, the Neue Weinsteige, and the opening of the rack railway in 1884, it rapidly became popular as a residential area, though it has preserved a certain degree of individuality despite conurbation.
