Englische Kirche St. Katharina
An English colony was established in Stuttgart through the kinship of the English and Württemberg royal families - and through the guests from all over the world who visited the mineral baths in Bad Cannstatt. The church of St. Katharina was consecrated in 1869: a nave based on the early Gothic style with narrow side aisles, a polygonal choir and a simple ridge turret for the bells. The side aisles fell victim to a bomb attack in 1944.
The former English church of St. Katharina is now a place of worship for the Old Catholics.
