Gedenkstätte "Zeichen der Erinnerung"

The "Sign of Remembrance" memorial at the inner north station in Stuttgart was inaugurated in 2006. It commemorates the deportation of more than 2,500 Jewish victims from Württemberg, Hohenzollern, Baden and around 250 Sinti and Roma. They were all deported from here to the concentration camps in Eastern Europe and - almost all of them - murdered there.

The original tracks were surrounded by a "passe-partout", the names of the victims are written on the outer long wall, as well as the dates and destinations of the deportations on a wall in the entrance area.

The memorial is run by Zeichen der Erinnerung e.V.
