Heimatmuseum Möhringen im Spitalhof

In addition to prehistoric and early historical finds, the Möhringen local history museum in the Spitalhof mainly houses evidence of local history:

  • Views of Möhringen
  • Documents on the history of the association
  • a fire engine from around 1850
  • Memorabilia of chamber singer August Kies (1874 - 1935)
  • Furnishings, tools (flax processing), textiles and documents from Möhringen's rural past

The museum offers regularly changing special exhibitions on topics of local history.

The Spitalhof was built in 1469, the gatehouse was built in 1589. It was demolished in 1959 and rebuilt between 1959 and 1961.
