Römisches Lapidarium Stuttgart

Stone witnesses to Roman history: The Roman Lapidarium is located in the cellar vaults of the New Palace. It displays around 100 stone monuments from the time when southwest Germany belonged to the Roman provinces of Upper Germania and Raetia: altars, gods' stones, path stones, reliefs and much more.

The stone monuments date from the 1st to the 3rd century AD and play a major role in the reconstruction of the region's history as important contemporary witnesses.

The Roman Lapidarium is part of the Württemberg State Museum.
