Weingut Aldinger
Today, three generations work together at the Aldinger winery and produce top wines in the traditional way.
In the early days, Gerhard Aldinger produced wines that were atypically dry by the standards of the time. Especially with the addition of the monopoly vineyard Untertürkheimer Gips in 1973, the winery gained independence in the region. His son Gert continued this style of vinification. He consistently focused on quality and greatly reduced yields.
As president of the VDP Württemberg (Association of German Prädikat Wine Estates), Gert Aldinger is not only active in the winery, but also in the region. He is regarded as the driving force behind the change towards quality in Württemberg. He has been honored for this with various awards such as 'Winemaker of the Year' in 2003, 'Rising Star of the Year' in 2004 and 'Ambassador of Enjoyment of Baden-Württemberg' in 2008.
Hansjörg and Matthias are the youngest generation of winegrowers at the estate. After a formative education in Weinsberg and Geisenheim, as well as inspiring experiences in other wine-growing regions of the world, they produce top quality wines while respecting tradition in order to continue to consolidate the winery's leading role.
