Weingut Karl Wöhrwag
The Wöhrwag winery in Stuttgart-Obertürkheim is located at the foot of the Ailenberg in a small side valley of the Neckar surrounded by terraced vineyards. In these warm steep slopes of the Esslinger Schenkenberg, Untertürkheimer Altenberg and Mönchberg, the winery produces wine from reduced-yield vineyards. The yield reduction results in dense, powerful and full-bodied wines.
The Trollinger, Lemberger, Spätburgunder, Merlot, Samtrot, Frühburgunder, Portugieser, Riesling, Weißburgunder and Muskateller varieties in particular are cultivated to "high maturity" with the greatest care and conscientiousness and vinified in the traditional manner. In addition to selling wine, the winery also offers sparkling wine, Secco and red grape juice from its own production.
The winery also has a Besenwirtschaft, where the winery offers its specialty: roast onion. All dishes are homemade.
