La Grande Chapelle is an ensemble with a European spirit that has dedicated itself to the rediscovery of vocal music from the 16th to 18th centuries in Spain, as demonstrated by its ambitious and highly regarded recordings.
Although there are still many musical treasures to be discovered in Spain, they also explore and interpret the legacy of Latin American composers and their connections to the Iberian Peninsula. Exclusively for this concert, they offer an exquisite selection of sacred baroque music for two and three choirs that was sung in important temples in cities such as Mexico City, Puebla, Cuzco, Lima or La Plata (Sucre), as well as other compositions from Spain.
With La Grande Chapelle we make a historical round trip along two shores of the same sea.
