Sarah Willis, the famous horn player of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, loves the popular music of Cuba (salsa, son, mambo, bolero), but on the island she also discovered an exciting classical music scene with many young and talented artists. Together with the professional musicians of the Havana Lyceum Orchestra and their director José Antonio Méndez adrón (Pepe), she started the unique project " Mozart y Mambo " in 2020, of which three albums have already been released.
With a relaxed mix of horn compositions by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Cuban classics such as "El Manisero" and "Guantanamera", they have caused a sensation on international stages.
As Sarah explains, this troupe has become her Cuban family. Together they have realized a dream: an inspiring work full of love and great music. They bring the musical soul of Cuba to Stuttgart with a lot of joy and rousing arrangements that make you swing your hips.
