"Christ with me"

The program title "Christ with me" can be understood as a request for assistance or as a statement of certainty of faith. The messages of the works that the Academic Choir of the University of Stuttgart sings for us in this hour fall within this spectrum, whereby the tone of praise predominates - as in I will praise Thee, o Lord by Nystedt. New to our ears will be Let This Mind Be in You by Amy Beach (1867-1944), the first American woman to write a symphony! Lioba Wagner will be conducting the choir for the first time. She studied school music in Frankfurt and was subsequently accepted into Prof. Denis Rouger's choir conducting class in Stuttgart.
