André Weiss Quartet feat. Dmitry Baevsky

On this evening, André Weiss will perform as bandleader of his top-class quartet, with whom he will also perform his own pieces.

You can hear in his playing and his compositions that he is intensively involved with jazz history and its protagonists.

Dmitry Baevsky studied at the New School University in New York and lived in the jazz metropolis for over 25 years. He is one of the leading alto saxophonists of his generation and has worked with Cedar Walton, Jimmy Cobb, Benny Green and Peter Bernstein, among others.

Together with Giorgios Antoniou on bass and Xaver Hellmeier on drums, they form a quartet on stage with an infectious joy of playing, swing and groove in the foreground.
