Special exhibition - tandem tour with Ebbe Kögel

Ebbe Kögel worked as a pool attendant for many years, for example at the Inselbad Untertürkheim and especially at the Stettener Bädle. In conversation with exhibition curator Sebastian Dörfler, Kögel talks about his experiences as a pool attendant and about the outdoor pool as a social place and "integration machine".

Kögel was involved in the Stettener Bädlesverein to preserve the small pool in the Rems Valley. This enabled him to teach a boy from Syria to swim there.

The event is part of the program accompanying the large special exhibition "Free Swimming. Together?!".
Who is allowed to swim? And who is not? What causes trouble among swimmers? Society is reflected in the pool. A wide variety of people with different lifestyles and moral concepts meet in public pools - sometimes more and sometimes less harmoniously.
