Barcley James Harvest started their musical journey 50 years ago in Oldham/Manchester. Probably the most subtle representatives of the classic rock genre, they have been delighting audiences with melancholic classic rock and esoteric spherical sounds since 1967. From the very beginning, the supergroup experimented with new forms and sounds beyond the classic rock line-up, using woodwinds and brass as well as strings. These appealing sound patterns and orchestral sounds became their trademark. Their debut album from 1970 was recorded with their own orchestra and was the cornerstone of their globally successful band history. Bandleader and frontman Les Holroyd is still responsible for the band's unmistakable sound today. Great milestones in rock history such as "Life Is For Living" or "Hymn", a perfect show and the special ambience of the NaturTheater will turn this evening into a spherical overall experience from the universe of rock - Bad Elster is part of the Universe!
