Beate Christine Winkler's "Verflechtungen" is a highly topical examination of women's aspirations, social fragility and the precarious balance between the sexes.
The exhibition combines retrospective works with current works. Through sculpture, installation and works on paper, Winkler weaves a narrative that emphasizes the resilience of women while warning of the dangers of societal regression.
The works presented were created exclusively in black and white tones and impress with their exceptional technique and precision craftsmanship.
The meditative spirit that pervades Winkler's earlier works finds new forms of expression in her latest works. Her fresh series of wall installations and objects, created from hand-folded paper, embody a quiet yet haunting transcendence. Each work is a study in fragility and harmony, combining delicate folds into complex, organic patterns. These compositions of untamed beauty reflect the complexity of natural ecosystems.
With "Entanglements", Winkler creates a contemporary dialog about the hard-won advances in women's rights. Her work is both a tribute to the unwavering strength of women and a powerful reminder: the balance between the sexes cannot be taken for granted, but must be vigilantly protected.
