BIX TIPP: Claus Reichstaller Quintett

Claus Reichstaller is one of the most important European jazz trumpeters and was the soloist with the "SWR Big Band" in numerous concerts and jazz productions, three of which were awarded Grammy nominations.

Reichstaller made his international breakthrough with the "Paris Reunion Band", which was led by his mentor, saxophonist Nathan Davis, followed by the "Jazz Master All Stars" with jazz legends such as Benny Golson, Jimmy Woode, Billy Cobham, Jon Faddis, Randy Brecker, Abraham Laboriel and others. Reichstaller also wrote the music for the play "Leichtes Spiel" by Botho Strauss in a production by Dieter Dorn at the Residenztheater in Munich.
