Bound

Theater version and public intervention

"Bound" deals with intimacy and physical contact in male, platonic relationships. The two dancers Elias Bäckebjörk and Paco Ladrón de Guevara perform the piece in constant physical contact with each other.
What happens when the two male bodies are permanently connected by two points of contact? "Bound" overcomes the shame of closeness between men and shows two bodies that can meet in their entirety with their feelings, their strength and their care. "Bound" is a liberation from male blockade cultures and a love letter to friendship.
During the rehearsals and performances, unannounced interventions take place in public spaces. The happenings last between 15 and 20 minutes and show excerpts from "Bound". The random audience also has the opportunity to talk to the choreographer.
