"Music has a power that helps me to clear my soul," is how the Canadian pianist with Chinese roots describes the importance of piano playing in his life. In his youth, the young Chopin Prize winner pursued numerous hobbies before finding his way to the keys: tennis, soccer, chess, swimming, computer games. "The piano felt good because it made me sit still for 30 minutes." The audience is only too happy to stay seated for much longer when Bruce Liu plays a live concert with irrepressible energy and breathtaking beauty.
