Buna

Buna tells the real-life story of a family: a buna ("grandmother" in the Bukovinian dialect) and her granddaughter live under the same roof, even though they live in completely different worlds. The play is a parable about the gap between the generations and the irreconcilable extremes that encompass them. In the end, the young girl decides to go abroad in search of a new life. Will she put down roots in a new place? What do national self-confidence, traditions and culture mean in the modern world?
