With the new concert format "Carte Blanche", the Stuttgart Philharmonic offers selected guest artists a platform to present themselves in very special, highly personal programs that add further artistic facets to their solo performances.

A Bu is the winner of the first prize and the audience prize of the Montreux Jazz Solo Piano Competition (2015). At the age of 13, he was invited by Chick Corea to play a duet at his concert in Shanghai. A Bu has worked with many important artists across the boundaries of classical music and jazz.
He has performed as a soloist with numerous orchestras all over the world. His latest CD "New Memories" was released in 2022. It contains his interpretation of pieces by the Russian composer Nikolai Kapustin as well as A Bu's own compositions.
A Bu studied at the Juilliard School and the Mannes School of Music and has performed in concert halls and at major festivals all over the world during his young career.

Outstanding soloists and guest conductors from all over the world characterize the concert season of the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra - they complement the local orchestra musicians and offer the audience variety and broaden their horizons. The beautiful motto of the 2006 summer soccer fairytale fits this philharmonic togetherness: "The world as a guest with friends!"
