Beautiful sounds of music, speech and nature invite you on a journey through the Canticle of the Sun by St. Francis. Each verse of the 13th century text is a homage to creation and the Creator and has been lovingly transformed by Frank Tischer into a meditation in music, words and images.

"The musical meditation on the Canticle of the Sun began with a calm carpet of sound enriched with accents in the prelude. The texts to the verses were recorded with the expressive voice of actor Jürg Löw. Artist Antonia Tischer united the text and the music in her depiction of the thematic images on display. With piano, synthesizer, singing bowls, flutes and natural sounds, Tischer interpreted a powerful sonority to the thoughts about brother sun, sister moon (and stars), brother wind, sister water, brother fire, mother earth, love and sister physical death [...]." Frank Tischer is probably not unknown to Stuttgart audiences thanks to his many appearances together with Sebastian Scheuthle in Frieder Nögge's "Satierkreis".
