The Christmas children's program takes up the story from the Gospel of Matthew. On the dome of the planetarium, it shows the events surrounding the birth of Jesus Christ.
It seems as if the visitors are sitting in the middle of a huge, animated picture book and become part of the story themselves. They accompany Mary and Joseph from the angel's announcement in Nazareth to the search for a room in overcrowded Bethlehem. They visit the shepherds in the field and find the child in the manger with them.
The starry sky of over 2000 years ago forms the heavenly backdrop, without complicated explanations disturbing the atmospheric presentation.
