Die bitteren Tränen der Petra von Kant

Petra von Kant is a successful fashion designer whose private life is not going so well: Her second marriage has recently ended in divorce. At her side lives and works her quiet secretary Marlene, who is treated like a slave by Petra.

Petra meets the young model Karin, starts a relationship with her and protects her career. But their happiness is short-lived and their life together soon turns out to be frustrating. Karin has affairs, which she barely conceals, and eventually leaves Petra for her husband, who has reappeared. Once again, Petra finds herself alone and when her mother and daughter visit her for her birthday, a huge family reckoning ensues...
