Die Ehnerts
- Location:
- Renitenztheater, Büchsenstr. 26, 70174 Stuttgart
It's all about singles, one-night stands and life partners. Most people only remember weddings from old Sissi films. Only the two duel bunnies Jennifer and Michael Ehnert are mercilessly lagging behind this age of individual freedom: not only are they married to each other, but to this day they are simply unable to divorce each other. Even though they really do everything they can to get the other one fixed and ready...
The Ehnerts tell their own story on stage. From the head-over-heels marriage, over valleys and peaks, therapies and other hopeless undertakings, from reconciliations and setbacks. They also pack in lots of interesting facts about human marriage itself and as an institution through the ages. The two not only play themselves, but also therapists, ex-boyfriends, gynecologists and other dubious characters. An evening that will make the audience recognize them all - with one difference: you can laugh heartily about all of this. Zweikampfhasen is a relationship battle that is great fun.

"Endstation Ehehölle. This comedy play from the pen of Michael Ehnert is as amusing as it is complex. Razor-sharp dialog and verbal chin-slapping. ZWEIKAMPFHASEN is a turbulent, classy marriage clinch that has it all." (Berliner Morgenpost)
"You'll love the way these two hate each other!" (Rhein-Neckar-Zeitung)
"Jennifer and Michael Ehnert convince as ZWEIKAMPFHASEN eloquently in the new program. Great! Brilliant!" (Hamburger Morgenpost)
"The Ehnerts' acting is second to none in cabaret. Suspect of a cabaret prize." (Hamburger Abendblatt)
"As sparse as the stage is, as lavish is the linguistically and textually intensive mega-performance of both actors, who never come across as cheap, even in raunchy moments. Rather, the fast-paced evening is characterized by lightning-fast moments." (Südwestpresse)
"This fast-paced, intelligent and highly energetic relationship cabaret with a certificate of authenticity is unique on German stages." (Bonner Generalanzeiger)
