Dienstags-Werkstatt XL: Kathrin Wörwag

How do we currently and in the future face up to the global changes that have been caused by us humans since the beginning of industrialization, in the age of the Anthropocene? The artist Kathrin Wörwag explores this question.

In the 40th Tuesday Workshop, Wörwag will present her project längs und quer zum fluss (2023), among other things. As part of the IBA'27 festival, she is initiating her project in the former Neckar spinning mill in Wendlingen, where production continued until 2020, an exhibition and meeting place as a laboratory for collaborative exchange. Based on complex research, site-specific explorations, action lectures and workshops, questions about the socio-ecological transformation of historical industrial culture will be examined and discussed with local people together with other artists invited by her. The focus is on the coexistence and interdependence of human and non-human habitats.
