The DOKVILLE industry get-together of the Haus des Dokumentarfilms will take place on June 26 and 27, 2025 at the Hospitalhof Stuttgart.

What's next: "Make Germany Great Again"? This year, DOKVILLE, the Haus des Dokumentarfilms' annual industry get-together, will focus on the question of why our society seems so ill-equipped to combat the advance of ways of thinking and acting that are contemptuous of democracy. Keynotes, panels and case studies are dedicated to the challenges we face as media professionals in the face of the ongoing shift to the right. How can critical journalism and documentary work support democratic discourse against the backdrop of increasing polarization and divisive tendencies? The Haus des Dokumentarfilms has been organizing DOKVILLE in cooperation with MFG, SWR and ARTE since 2005. Over two days, the documentary film industry and prominent speakers from politics and media studies will discuss their positions in Stuttgart.
