THE MUSICAL
- The successful children's musical for the whole family based on a fairy tale by Božena Němcová
- Based on the book by Christian Berg & Mirko Bott and with music by Timo Riegelsberger
- Directed by Melanie Herzig
It is one of the most beautiful fairy tale adaptations ever and it is hard to imagine the Christmas season without it: "Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella". At the thought of the cult fairy tale, adults revel in childhood memories, and today's little ones are quickly infected by this enthusiasm. Renowned children's musical author Christian Berg and his fellow author Mirko Bott have brought the Czech author's story to the stage - as a musical for the whole family. The makers used the literary original as a basis.
The story is told from the perspective of the stable boy Valentin, who works for Cinderella's stepmother. Rosalie the owl and Nicholas the horse, two life-size puppets that look like real animals, lend the musical a special magic. The six-member ensemble brings the story of "Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella" to life on stage and takes the audience on a journey to the land of fairy tales, where small things turn into big miracles.
In the acclaimed stage version of the Christmas classic, the audience is involved in the action time and time again. Thanks to the many interactions, the whole audience is carried away and becomes part of the performance. It's no wonder that the production has delighted tens of thousands of visitors young and old on tour and en suite in renowned venues such as the Komödie am Kurfürstendamm (Berlin), the Friedrichsbau Varieté (Stuttgart) and the GOP Varieté Theater (Hanover) in recent years.
