Performed by the young and brilliant Dresden Residence Orchestra under the direction of Prof. Igor Malinovsky, promising musicians take to the stage.
Prof. Igor Malinovsky is concertmaster and professor of violin at the Carl Maria von Weber Academy of Music in Dresden. The winner of many international awards, he founded the Dresden Residence Orchestra in 2013.
With its extensive repertoire ranging from baroque to modern, the Dresden Residence Orchestra performs in a variety of formations from chamber to large instrumental orchestras. The ensemble specializes in specially arranged transcriptions and regularly performs works originally composed for symphony orchestra and excerpts from operas as soloists. Since 2013, the Dresden Residence Orchestra has organized its own year-round concert series "Gala Concerts in the Dresden Zwinger", in which it has already performed over a thousand concerts.
