Seventy pictures, seventy stories, seventy luminous, literary pieces - a life in snapshots, through continents and times. In memory of the classic photo album, in which the adventures of the moment were documented in keywords under often blurred images, Christoph Ransmayr tells seventy stories condensed into micro-novels about seventy of his photographs in "Egal wohin, Baby". Each photo is an optical note, due to the randomness of presence and recorded in passing. Expeditions into the moments of reality and the boundlessness of the imagination can also be told in a few lines - especially when it is done with Christoph Ransmayr's powers of observation and art of language. Ransmayr was born in Wels/Upper Austria in 1954 and, after years in Ireland and on his travels, has returned to Vienna.
Ireland and traveling. He has received numerous literary awards for his books, which have been translated into more than thirty languages, including the Kleist Prize.
