Ein Brausen vom Himmel

Location:
Kath. Kirche St. Fidelis, Seidenstraße 41, 70174 Stuttgart

St. Fidelis Church in the west of Stuttgart was built 100 years ago and has had an eventful and varied history ever since.
Today, the German and Spanish-speaking congregation, the Spiritual Center station s and the KLANGRAUM st.fidelis enliven this place in the middle of the city - and offer people a space for community, silence, music and spirit-filled moments.

To mark this anniversary, the celebrated a cappella vocal ensemble Singer Pur will be making a guest appearance. The six singers bring the moving and beguiling vocal music of Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina (1525-1594) and Arvo Pärt (*1935) into contact with each other - settings of the biblical Song of Songs, imploring prayers to the Virgin Mary and heartfelt pleas for peace.
Then the jubilant sounds of Pentecost from Palestrina's pen rise up like "a roar from heaven".
