La Tabatière:
Lorenzo Gabriele, transverse flute
Rebecca Raimondi, violin
Evan Buttar, violoncello
At the end of the 18th century, a new, transnational "European" style of music emerged: classicism. Whether for large orchestra or small chamber ensemble - in the major urban centers of Paris, Vienna, Mannheim and London, compositions were now based on new formal and structural principles: Linearity, balance and symmetry.
With a selection of works in trio formation, this concert takes you on a musical journey through classical Europe - from the melodic and rhythmic "Divertimenti" by Franz Joseph Haydn, the graceful, lively trio by François Devienne and the elegant, almost romantic trio by Carl Stamitz through to the captivating work of Ignazio Raimondi. Finally, excerpts from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Magic Flute" - transcribed for trio with flute, violin and cello - will delight the audience.
A concert in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute Stuttgart.
Early music concert series
The concert series at Haus der Musik starts its sixth season. The line-up includes top-class international ensembles and musicians. Renowned lecturers from the Trossingen University of Music present wonderful programs. Other well-known national and regional ensembles as well as offerings from the Stuttgart music academies round off the extensive program, which of course also includes live performances of the historical keyboard instruments of the Württemberg State Museum.
