At the center of Krzysztof Warlikowski's production is the writer Elizabeth Costello, who angrily criticizes the world and people. With her provocative theses on philosophy and the environment as well as on social and existential issues, she relentlessly appeals to our conscience. By drawing attention to the fate of animals, social injustice and the marginalization of the elderly and infirm, she increasingly becomes a revenant who shakes things up and refuses to stand still.
