Eight passionate cellists await you with works in various styles from Latin America to Europe. Their own arrangements, including those by Carlos Nozzi, the former solo cellist of the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra, spread charm and seduction through sound and rhythm. But there will also be other original literature for this instrumentation. The ear will be spoiled by the chamber music-like harmony of the instruments, orchestral moments, virtuoso passages and sensual cantilenas.
Ensemble 8Celli was founded in Stuttgart in 2016 and is made up of international cellists from renowned orchestras and ensembles. Since then, it has performed once a year at the Wilhelma Theater Stuttgart.
The members of Ensemble 8Celli are united by their love of the cello, its technical possibilities and its unmistakable sound. Each member brings many years of experience in orchestral and ensemble playing, chamber music and solo activities to Ensemble 8Celli.
