We were very impressed by the lively and homogeneous sound of BachWerkVokal at its first performance in 2023. We are therefore looking forward to hearing it again, for which the Hanover-trained conductor, organist and composer Gordon Safari has prepared three Bach cantatas, which he complements with his own arrangements of Bach's music. The ensemble, which was founded in 2015 and has its own concert series in Salzburg, is characterized by the fact that, as in Bach's time, there is no separation between soloists and choristers. This is only possible when all members are highly professional and can also be admired on the well-reviewed CDs Cantate Domino and Jesu, meine Freude.
