Polish writer Szczepan Twardoch, one of today's outstanding authors, will open the 2nd Stuttgart Literature Festival. In his contributions and articles, he repeatedly writes about the gaps that still exist between West and East today, and which have become even more visible since the outbreak of the war of aggression in Ukraine. His latest novel "The Zero Line" is an examination of this war. Twardoch traveled to Ukraine several times to write it. As someone who has experienced the existential and life-threatening circumstances at first hand, he can tell us in his opening speech on the festival theme "ABOUT LIFE" why it is nevertheless and especially now so important to celebrate life.
Afterwards, we will celebrate the opening of the 2nd Stuttgart Literature Festival with a reception and vernissage of Julia B. Nowikowa's exhibition: ABOUT LIFE - Living Books. Raise a glass with us!
