The new production from the Flöz family
When Dr. Nest boards the night train, anxious to leave bitter memories and his troubled life behind him, the "Villa Blanca" goes back to sleep. He confidently takes up his new position in the remote sanatorium, a meeting place of crazy destinies. Driven by curiosity, a thirst for knowledge and empathy, he encounters the strange and mysterious phenomena of his patients: Extinguished memories, bodies, split personalities, demons and delusions. Dr. Nest is soon in danger of losing his own sense of order.
What is initially disconcerting soon appears to be a ludicrous mirror of his own doubts and insecurities. The fine line between normal and abnormal, between conscious and driven, between healthy and sick fades before his eyes. In their new play, the Flöz family returns to the mask. With it and through it, the ensemble takes a look at the enigmatic cartography of the human brain and into the depths of the soul.
Inspired by paradoxical case descriptions from the broad field of neurology, it opens the doors of a fictitious sanatorium and nursing home and reveals the bizarre worlds of its residents - and the staff. Movement, space, words, light and sound create a tragic and comic tale of the fragility of human life.
