Eva Knöpfle just can't help herself: Time and again she invites sales representatives to her apartment on Stuttgart's Hasenbergsteige, but without the slightest intention of buying anything from them. With disarming friendliness, she offers the sales professionals a small snack, chats with them, gives them helpful tips for their job and life - and thus escapes her own loneliness.

One day, Kira, who has been sorely disappointed by love, and Tom, who is frustrated with his job, meet during a sales visit to the apartment of the pathetic senior citizen from Stuttgart. A turbulent story unfolds in which Mrs. Knöpfle pursues a very special plan ...
