Frida - Viva la Vida!

"Long live life!" That was the motto of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo (1907 - 1954).
"Nothing is more important in life than laughter. Laughter means strength, self-forgetfulness and lightness. Tragedy, on the other hand, is something completely silly." That was typical of Frida Kahlo. She captivated the great artists and brilliant men and women of her generation: Picasso celebrated her, Breton introduced her to Parisian artistic life and raised her to the level of the surrealists. Trotsky not only loved the revolutionary in her, but Marcel Duchamp, Rockefeller and Neruda were literally at her feet.
She loved humor and witty sayings. She loved life and pleasure. Despite or perhaps because of her physical ailments. She painted, made music, wrote poetry and sang as if she had the energy for two lives.
The ensemble approaches the icon Frida Kahlo with humor and seriousness, with poetic, musical and theatrical means, showing the artist sometimes funny, sometimes angry, sometimes melancholic, sometimes combative... In this way, she becomes a catalyst for approaching the great questions of humanity: life, love, freedom and death.
