A lecture by Jan Rüttinger, curator at the East Prussian State Museum Lüneburg. Program accompanying the exhibition "Pictures of Königsberg - The Decline of a Great City"
Relatively little is known about the life of
Fritz Krauskopf, who was born in Rastenburg (today: Kętrzyn) in 1882. His work as a successful animal, landscape, portrait and city photographer is better documented. Jan Rüttinger, curator of the exhibition at the Ostpreußisches Landesmuseum Lüneburg, which preserves Krauskopf's photographic estate, presents the photographer's work and categorizes his significance before and after 1945.
