Geoff Tate was born in Stuttgart in 1959, but moved to the USA with his family shortly afterwards. His musical career began with the progressive metal band "Myth", which he left after a short time and eventually joined "The Mob", which later became "Queensrÿche". After thirty years, the group parted ways with its singer, who then founded his own "Queensrÿche" and soon renamed this project "Operation: Mindcrime".
