A night-time accident intertwines the fates of two families. A biting and cleverly told tragicomedy unfolds, an example of the vitality of Georgian cinema.
Two seemingly disparate families live in a high-rise building in Tbilisi and a remote house in the countryside. Keti and her teenage son Nika lead a typical urban life. Tamara is trapped in rural boredom and cares for her elderly father Otar together with her son. The wishes and dreams of the mothers and sons are thwarted by reality. The fates of the two families intertwine when Nika hits Otar with her car one late summer night. To save her son from prosecution, Keti has to raise a large sum of money within a day. A series of events takes its course that causes as much suffering to one family as it opens up opportunities for the other, and which, despite all the tragedy, does not exclude tenderly bitter irony.
