In a small Georgian coastal town on the Black Sea, the elderly, reclusive Eliko (Tengo Javakhadze) is found hanged one day. His granddaughter Moe, a tough city dweller, returns to the village of her childhood to organize the funeral. Moe is aware of the anti-progressive atmosphere in the community, but is nevertheless surprised when she is confronted with a complicated web of lies characterized by brutal intolerance and cruel rejection of any kind of otherness.
She only finds allies in Amnon and Fleshka, who run the local bar together. Through them, Moe, who feels like a foreign body in this setting, discovers her grandfather's relationship, Eliko's best-kept secret, which has been hidden for decades. She tries to protect this love from the ignorant population while remaining true to herself.
Georgian drama about a tragic queer love story gives a voice to the outsiders of rural Georgia.
