Gravity & Other Myths: Ten Thousand Hours
Gravity is nothing but a fairy tale when these Australians take off into the air. They fly, balance, climb and carry several colleagues on their shoulders. The acrobats from "Gravity and Other Myths" celebrate how many hours of hard work go into this lightness in their new show. It is a hymn to the perseverance and dedication we all need to create something great. Without any glitzy costumes, this new circus shows the people behind the sensations, the risks behind all the mastery. With a great deal of humor, eight movement artists test their physical capabilities to the limit, build towers of four or five human floors and catch each other again to fast-paced live percussion. In their shared love of artistry - because all of this is only possible if you can rely on each other blindly - they demonstrate the amazing things our bodies can achieve.
At the end of the evening, you are either glued to your seat in utter amazement or jumping to your feet for a standing ovation.
Fringe Review
This show is absolutely family friendly - but make sure you have enough soft mats at home for your little ones afterwards if they want to learn to fly.
Fringe Review
Straightforward, direct and perfectly paced, "Ten Thousand Hours" is a family show that never indulges in childishness and instead evokes the feeling of a child in wonder.
Fest Magazine
Get ready for human jump ropes, aerial jumps over columns of people, bodies as helicopters, flips and spins to perfection, interwoven with elements of contemporary dance and breakdancing.
Glam Adelaide
These artists spend more time in the air than on the ground.
