Mani Neumaier and his gurus have been on stage for 56 years, since 2001 also annually at the Lab in the east of Stuttgart.

Even older than the Lab, in fact! Mani Neumeier and his men have been on stage as Guru Guru for no less than 56 years - and every year since 2001 on the Lab stage. Today's concert is the Gurus' 24th Lab appearance!
When band founder and world musician Mani Neumeier whirls the drumsticks, Zeus B. Held plugs in the synth, Peter Kühmstedt makes the bass strings vibrate and saxophonist Roland Schaeffer roars into the brass, many a prominent live act becomes a bland number. However, the band is notorious for its bouts of experimental madness: no one who has heard their underground hit "Elektro-Lurch" will ever be able to get it completely out of their head again.
