Hans Gerzlich
- Location:
- Renitenztheater, Büchsenstr. 26, 70174 Stuttgart
Hans Gerzlich is horrified when he suddenly realizes that he was born in the same year as... old people. During the commercial breaks of his favorite TV show, he is no longer offered seductive aftershaves and fast sports cars, but Granufink, Voltaren and heat plasters.
50 on the outside, 20 on the inside, he asks himself "When is life finally going to start?" But then the "personal pension information" arrives. The newly minted best ager has done the math: If he retires at 67, he can live quite comfortably on it - for eleven days. That's why he's hoping for an increase in the bottle deposit.
But he also thinks about suppressing his own demise. About missed opportunities, but increasing serenity, what a new ethic of old age should look like, in which economic efficiency plays a role, but not first fiddle, and which language he should learn in order to be able to communicate with his carer later on.
This cabaret program will make you laugh your head off if you are 50, used to be 50 or are planning to turn 50 at some point. But beware: afterwards you will be two hours older and have a few more laugh lines.
