Hauptsammler Nesenbach geöffnet: Große Führung durch die Kanalisation

Stadtentwässerung Stuttgart offers visitors a unique insight during its large-scale canal tour at the Neckartor. Equipped with protective equipment provided by the organizer, they descend into the canal after a short presentation and safety briefing.

Visitors can find out all about urban drainage in the information center at the Neckartor. A small exhibition of historical tools and aids for working in the sewer as well as short films about the various tasks of urban drainage complete the offer. In dry weather, it is possible to enter the Nesenbach main collector for a guided tour of the sewer system.

The starting point of the tour is the Stuttgart Urban Drainage Information Center (SES) on the mezzanine level of the Neckartor tram stop at the exit to the Schlossgarten. All participants will be provided with personal protective equipment (disposable suit, helmet, gloves, rubber boots, safety belt, lamp).

Duration of the tour: about one hour, putting on and taking off the protective equipment before and after the tour takes about 15 minutes.

Time: every hour between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. - last tour starts at 5 p.m.

Registration required: Participation is only possible after prior registration, as the number of participants per tour is limited to ten people. Minimum age 18 years (children from 10 years accompanied by an adult)

For safety reasons, participants must be able to walk independently and safely (without walking aids). This offer is unfortunately not suitable for physically impaired people. Before entering the canal, you will receive a short safety briefing.
