The newly designed permanent exhibition "Hegel's Life and Work" on the first and second floors of the museum covers around 100 square meters and focuses on Hegel as a person and his thought, his work and its immense impact.
Visitors follow the stages of Hegel's life from his birth and youth in Stuttgart, through his studies in Tübingen and his various positions, to the pinnacle of his academic career as a professor at Berlin University.
A special focus of the permanent exhibition is on Hegel's works and their extraordinary impact on subsequent generations of thinkers and on the history of philosophy in general.
Exhibits and multimedia stations illustrate the central ideas of Hegel's philosophy and provide a detailed insight into the thinking of the great philosopher. Elaborate philosophical experimentation stations bring Hegel's theoretical approaches to life in an interactive and haptic experience.
The permanent exhibition is available in three languages (German, English and Chinese) to cater to the museum's many international visitors.
As an additional offer, a digital tour guides visitors through the exciting history of the building using a media guide.
