Heidi

The two "Heidi" novels are among the best-known children's books in the world. For generations, the stories have been loved by children and adults alike, both in the movies and on television. Now Heidi is conquering our theater stage!
After the death of her parents, little Heidi comes to live with her grandfather, a hermit in a remote hut in the Swiss Alps. The inquisitive girl quickly wins the heart of the grumpy mountain dweller and experiences exciting adventures in the mountains together with Geißenpeter - a boy who looks after the village goats.
But their happiness doesn't last long, because one day Heidi is sent to faraway Frankfurt to keep Klara, the sick daughter of a rich family, company. But she can't cope with life in the city and the strict rules of the housekeeper, Miss Rottenmeier. Heidi misses her animals and the freedom of the mountains! When the homesickness gets worse and worse, a solution has to be found.
Jan Bodinus has created a theatrical version based on the well-known children's books by Swiss author Johanna Spyri. Enjoy a humorous, fast-paced and visually stunning theatrical experience with the whole family!
The production is directed by Diana Gantner, who has already delighted our audiences as an actress and who has shaped the children's theater at the Ludwigsburger Theatersommer for several years as director and manager.
